About Rooted Woodland

Welcome to Rooted Woodland, a sanctuary nestled in the heart of Ontario’s Blue Mountain Region. Here, nature is not just a place you visit; it’s where you find yourself.

We believe in the power of nature to heal, ground, and rejuvenate. Our 42-acre forest sanctuary offers more than just a retreat from the hustle and buzz of everyday life—it provides an opportunity to reconnect with your truest self. Whether you’re here for a soul-soothing workshop, a private group retreat, or a peaceful stay in our off-grid cabin, our mission is to help you find peace, balance, and clarity under the calming canopy of our trees.

Meet Kyle, the Steadfast Strength Behind the Scenes

Kyle, Jodie’s husband, is the quiet force that keeps Rooted Woodland running smoothly. A full-time firefighter, Kyle dedicates many hours to supporting the business in countless ways. Whether he’s chopping or splitting wood for the sauna and fire pit, blazing trails or plowing snow to ensure our guests have a seamless experience, Kyle’s hard work and dedication are felt in every corner of our sanctuary. He loves watching Jodie pursue her passion and is constantly in awe of the positive impact she’s making on the community. Together, they make Rooted Woodland a place of warmth, connection, and healing.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Our daughters are an integral part of Rooted Woodland and a big part of our "why." We want to show them that following your dreams and not settling can be incredibly rewarding, even though it takes a lot of hard work, persistence and grit. You’ll often find them making fire starters, creating signs, or helping with chores as we prepare for our workshops and events. Their enthusiasm and support add an extra layer of magic to everything we do here, and they love hearing about the transformation that happens for our guests.
